Two very simple WordPress plugins to help with canonical link management:

• Homepage Canonical Links: Adds a canonical link to your blog’s home page, which the current (3.0) version of WordPress does not do.
• Remove Default Canonical Links: Disables WordPress’ default generation of canonical links. Useful if you’re generating your canonical links through other means (like Bryan Hadaway’s Canonical Link or Joost de Valk’s Canonical URLs) and want to avoid duplicate canonical links that might count against you by search engines.

Tested and developed for WordPress 3.0. Both are extremely straightforward and require no configuration once installed and activated.
